Skeleton Tree

from Motorslap by Freak Seen (1991)

lyrics

Passed a hill with tumbleweed on the right side
Barbed wire fence split the land in two
Cut away section to a flat field
In a snow covered paradise.

Dug a hole to the depths of the Skeleton Tree
Cultivation of reality
Arms are shooting through the wind
Roots are digging in.

Hey brother can you spare a dime cause you see I'm kind of broke.
Been squatting here for quite a while and I got no better place to go.
No home to call my own, no one to cook my food,
No place to call my love. so won't you spare a dime?

I reached in my pocket and I scrounged around
And I found that guy and I gave it to that clown.
I felt sort of good helping out that guy.
Next time you see a hobo don't just pass on by
Give dough!
